In the 1920s, Auguste Florinetti made the building a gathering place for Evian socialites, who came here for tea and gossip – or “potins” in French… Hence, the name of the tearoom, La Potinière, capturing the spirit of that era.

A place to meet up

Today, La Potinière is a verdant oasis, forming a natural extension to the delightful sunny terrace of Le Bistrot at La Verniaz. A bucolic setting where children can play while their parents enjoy finishing their lunch. A place where parents can relax while their children keep themselves amused. More than anything, it’s a place where visitors of all ages can have fun and simply spend time together under the shade of the trees, as they create happy holiday memories to treasure.

Get away to La Potinière

In the midst of summer, unwinding at La Potinière and La Verniaz, barefoot in the grass, surrounded by nature, is a precious antidote to our hectic lifestyles.
